Suggested by the rock concert in Cincinnati at which several young people lost their lives, this exciting, dynamic drama examines the lives of six youths who are killed by the crush of a large crowd awaiting a similar sold-out concert. It also deals with four other people who are attempting to discover the reasons for the deaths. Despite its serious nature, the play is alive with humor and hope as it pursues such contemporary themes as hero worship, estranged relationships and the need for "family." Described by one critic as "a powerful, intriguing, subtly crafted story," this is an important show for all ages, but it will have particular appeal for young adults. The original tryout production at Rowan University resulted in a huge student turnout. Area staging. The five songs which have been written as background music for the play are available on a tape which also includes the sound effects and it may be rented for a small fee, or the music may be performed by a small rock combo. Audition tape available.
